This drink, which we describe as a 'Deep, Golden, Brown Ale' (a Dark Ale), has a strength of 4.8% ABV.
A full-bodied, deep, golden, brown beer, Jail Ale has a well-rounded flavour, with a rich, moreish aftertaste.
This stunning ale has achieved many top awards in the Premium Bitter categories at numerous beer festivals.
Said by many to be - Undoubtedly one of the best premium ales in the country.
So far, this is one of only two beers from Dartmoor that have been sold at the Bake & Alehouse. This is not the strongest ale sold at the Bake and Alehouse, but it has the equal highest ABV has the from this brewery (they have produced another ale of the same strength that has been sold at the Bake & Alehouse. So far, here have been 157 ales with a higher ABV supplied.
