This drink, which we describe as an 'Oat Porter' (a Porter), has an ABV of 5.5%.
Odo's Oatmeal Porter or Odo's Oat Porter, combines oats, black, chocolate & crystal malts to produce a dark rich ale with a sweet roasted, vanilla aroma and a chocolate, coffee flavour.
Odo of Bayeux was the half brother of William the Conqueror and at one time lived near to the brewery on his Howbury Estate.
Bexley's 'HOWBURY' range is a selection of single brew craft ales, each brewed with different malts and hops - their 'development' range.
So far, this is one of 38 beers from Bexley Brewery that have been sold at the Bake & Alehouse. This is not the strongest ale sold at the Bake and Alehouse, but it has the equal highest ABV has the from this brewery (they have produced another ale of the same strength that has been sold at the Bake & Alehouse.
